About me

My name is Mohamed Adem Chaieb (in Arabic: محمد آدم شايب), though I go by Moe ("Mo") with friends and colleagues.

I was born in Algiers, grew up in Jeddah, and moved to Montreal at the age of 18 to study at McGill University. It's a move that quietly shaped the rest of my life. With the exception of a 3-year stint in London, Montreal has been home ever since.

I love building and creating stuff, mostly with computers, through code and music.

Programming, for me, is both a practical way to have an impact on the world and a creative medium in its own right. Music, on the other hand, is the most immersive art form, capable of moving people inward and outward at the same time.

I’m a lifelong Real Madrid supporter, and a Montreal Canadiens fan. I am grateful to share a life with my wife Yesmine and our daughter.
